Course descriptions:

This class is designed for people with a B1 level in standard French, or speakers of Louisiana French who want to explore grammar through reading. Focus on expanding speaking skills by studying French texts from Louisiana.

The course is $160 for AF members for 8 courses of 1 hour or $195 for nonmembers for 8 courses of 1 hour.

Teacher : Rachel Doherty holds a PhD in Francophone Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. A specialist in North American French lore and culture, Rachel has worked as a French instructor at UL, at Université Sainte-Anne, and in Lafayette Parish Immersion. Explore Franco-Louisianan history and culture through fun guided readings spanning the 19th through the 21st centuries.
