Course Description
Continue learning the unique variety of French spoken by Louisiana’s Cajuns and other French-speaking communities. Emphasis will be concentrated on effective everyday conversation. The Intermediate High/ Advanced class is designed for returning students who attended previous Intermediate’ courses or have good knowledge in Louisiana French,
Intermediate High/Advanced level : Take your Louisiana French skills to the next level with a focus on more advanced grammar, more complex conjugations, and linguistic subtleties. This course is designed for students with a intermediate grasp of Louisiana French who are ready to refine their understanding of the language and expand their conversational abilities. Through the exploration of cultural materials such as songs, films, interviews, stories, plays, and writings you'll deepen your comprehension and grasp of the language.
Ryan Langley found his passion through his heritage. He was raised in Bayou Pigeon, and learned French with his grandparents. He was a French immersion teacher, and is now the instructional leader for french immersion at Myrtle Place Elementary School. He is very involved in the Louisiana French community, you can listen to him on live shows like Paroles de la Louisiane, a new educational series to explore more about Louisiana French.
The course is $160 for AF members, and $195 for nonmembers (membership will be included with purchase) for 8 courses of 1 hour.
