2018 a été une année incroyable en Louisiane francophone.
Nous sommes entrés dans l'histoire, au matin du 11 octobre, lorsque la plus grande nouvelle depuis « La Vente de la Louisiane » (1803) a défrayé les médias sociaux ; la Louisiane admise à l'unanimité, est devenue "membre observateur" de l'Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.
En réponse, l'Alliance Française de Lafayette a décidé de saisir cette occasion unique en lançant NTRFST, une série d'événements mensuels sur une année et une collecte de fonds visant (1) à sensibiliser à cette merveilleuse nouvelle et (2) à accroître la capacité de l'Alliance Française de Lafayette à s'acquitter de ses missions de développement et de valorisation des langues et des cultures francophones à Lafayette et au-delà.
NTRFST | Vol. 1 "Le prototype" aura lieu le samedi 17 novembre au Wurst Biergarten et au Parc Lafayette, dans le centre-ville de Lafayette, en Louisiane. De nombreuses surprises vaudront l'admission. A ne pas manquer la bière en vente spécialement conçue pour chaque édition par Karlos Knott et son équipe bilingue chez Bayou Teche Brewing d’Arnaudville, en Louisiane.
Les futures éditions de NTRFST se déplaceront dans différents lieux de la région de Lafayette et au-delà, incorporant des images, des sons et des saveurs variés en provenance de toute la francophonie.

NOVEMBER 9th — Lafayette, Louisiana
2018 has been an incredible year in Francophone Louisiana.
We made history on the morning of October 11th when the biggest news since “The Sale of Louisiana” (1803) hit social media: Admitted with a unanimous vote, we became an observing member of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (English description).
In response, the Alliance Française de Lafayette (AFL) is seizing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to launch NTRFST : a year-long fund-raising campaign with monthly festivals aiming to (1) drive awareness to this wonderful news and to (2) increase AFL's capacity to execute upon its missions of growing and valorizing Francophone languages and cultures in Lafayette and beyond.
Ultimately, we are raising funds to grow the organization to a point where it can hire a full-time staff and have a dedicated place to operate the language school, cultural center and francophone business incubator. We’ve got our eye on a property downtown.
NTRFST | Vol. 1 "Le prototype” will be held Saturday, November 17th at the Wurst Biergarten and Parc Lafayette in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana, featuring some of the area's top beat makers, producers, and DJs looking to create the future sounds of French Louisiana along with several special surprises well worth the admission. Plus, we’ll have a special brew available for each monthly NTRFST prepared by Karlos Knott and his [bilingual] team over at Bayou Teche Brewing of Arnaudville, Louisiana.
Future editions of NTRFST will travel around different venues in both the Lafayette area and beyond — incorporating diverse sights, sounds, and flavors from throughout la Francophonie.
