Come to meet Chase Cormier to discover his last book and talk with him about his work in our library space.

Chase Cormier’s poetry and prose have appeared in Feux Follets and Revue Ancrages. His collection of micro-narratives, Mal (Éditions Perce-Neige, 2024), won the 2025 APMA Best Atlantic-Published Book Award; it offers an auto-fictive, fragmented take on butchering, masculinity, Cajun identity, Louisiana French(es), and the (dis)connections between past and present, memory and experience, speech and silence. 


Chase Cormier naît aux Opelousas en Louisiane. Ses textes apparaissent dans les revues Feux Follets et Ancrages. Son premier livre, Mal (Éditions Perce-Neige, 2024) a gagné le APMA Best Atlantic-Published Book Award. Mal, offre un récit fragmentaire de la boucherie, la masculinité, l’identité cadienne, le(s) français louisianais et les (dé)connexions entre le passé et le présent, la mémoire et le vécu, la parole et le silence.
